Hi! I’m Sapna
I am a conscious grounding coach, educator, guidance counselor & psychotherapist-in-training.
I work at the intersection of these titles to help adults (re)build and maintain their connection to Self so they can connect to their kids, work, and life with clarity and confidence.
I have over a decade of experience in public and private education settings where I study and develop responsive leadership and holistic guidance counseling practices. Through this work, and most intimately through my experience as a mom and wife, I have become deeply committed to living, working, and parenting more consciously.
To me, ‘more consciously’ means consistently and compassionately aligning my thoughts, feelings, and actions with the freest, clearest, most generous, and joyful parts of myself.
It creates an empowering ability to integrate more ease, fulfillment and vitality into my daily life.
Now as a certified coach, I help adults identify where and how disconnection is impacting their life and relationships. We work together to transform frustration, fear, doubt, grief, guilt, shame, and burnout into access points for clarity, connection, and creativity.
I bring care, compassion, lightheartedness, and a unique perspective to my work with a warm, grounding, open, and energizing spirit.
“We cannot free our children if we don’t feel free ourselves.”
My background in Design and Communications informs and influences my process and offerings.
My art and design work run parallel to this work exploring themes of connection, impermanence, and mothers/mothering. It continues to serve as a way to share ideas, process experiences, explore questions, and to stay soft.
I value freedom & fulfillment which I believe require both practical and spiritual development and support.
This is why I learn and lead with authentic autonomy and cultivate conscious connection.
Humanize Education & Wellness
I am passionate about humanizing education and health-through-care. I believe that our need for connection is at the root of this work. Beginning with inward alignment rippling outward through our community and our contributions.
It has always been my nature to think, research, create, practice, and teach about how to live with more softness, curiosity, and courage because of how much I know we need it and how seldom we feel safe enough to do it.
Representation Matters
My core value for freedom is rooted in my identity as a first-generation Canadian-born daughter of South African Indian Immigrant parents who were impacted by Apartheid.
Now, as half of an interracial, interfaith marriage, and as a mother of mixed race, mixed-faith, multicultural children I am continually learning about what it means to belong and the many ways we relate to our identities.
More than anything, these labels give me an awareness of identity complexity and an understanding of how vast our individual experiences can be. I bring my own unique perspective to my work and I am invested in making room for yours, too.
We come alive when we feel seen. I believe this starts with understanding ourselves with compassion so we can do the same for each other.
